🔒 Local-First Approach

All your fasting data is stored locally on your device by default. We do not automatically upload your personal fasting records to our servers. Cloud sync is optional and requires explicit consent through account creation.

By default, all your fasting data is stored locally on your device using secure, encrypted storage (Hive database). This data is not accessible to us unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

3.2 Cloud Storage (Optional)

If you create an account and enable cloud sync:

  • Your data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
  • Data is stored on secure servers (Supabase or similar GDPR-compliant providers)
  • We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data
  • You can delete your cloud data at any time from the app settings

3.3 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

FastingTimer may use third-party services for specific functionality. These services have their own privacy policies:

Analytics (Optional)

We may use analytics services (e.g., Firebase Analytics) to understand app usage. All data is anonymized and aggregated.

Crash Reporting

Sentry or similar tools help us identify and fix bugs. Only technical data is collected (no personal fasting data).

Payment Processing (Premium)

Google Play handles all payment processing. We do not store your payment information.

Cloud Sync (Optional)

Supabase or similar GDPR-compliant providers for cloud storage (only if you enable sync).

If you enable cloud sync, your data may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including countries that may not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction.
